Just picked up my first Hawkgirl issue to try out. Not comfortable with the new look for Lashina after giving her props in Firestorm. She looks too blonde and bright for a Furie. Mad Harriet was cuckoo-funny here and was handled well by Kendra.

Not comfortable on her Red Tornado-like spinning speed. Ditto with Hawkgirl's 'new' wings. Maybe they're temporary for the arc and won't appear in JLA (surprised about popularity of Archangel's, too, way back).

Speaking of Warren Worthington, for some reason tried to think if the Furies would've been more effective against a Sentinels or the X-men would be more effective against Gizmoids.

Wondering if they should've tried barrange of sound effects every explosion panel instead of some and Hawkgirl eyelens shadowing every panel except some.

First meeting of the Danny sidekick(?) for me. He had some guts. They managed an off panel Batman appearance too for buzz. Kinda curious about Hawkman status also. Valley of the Kings? But think it'll have to be the next month's cover or solicit will make or break me into trying a second Hawkgirl (who I think is captured in character watching JLU toon).

FYI, that's not technically Lashina. Somehow communications to the artist, Renalo Arlem, got messed up and he ended up drawing Gilotina, another of the Female Furies, instead of Lashina.
