.... where the heck does Trident/Karate Kid's 'high Iron Fist collar come from all of a sudden?' He's on the medical bed in his Trident costume (ALL Trident costume with no collar), then suddenly several pages later, he's sporting the big yellow collar and his Karate Kid costume is seen under his Trident costume.

Not sure about this "Trident Guild" idea.... seems odd. I like the idea of the old pre-Mark Waid Legionnaires coming back somehow, and I enjoyed Meltzer playing up the fact that both the JSA and JLA are now led by women (Black Canary and Power Girl).

Meltzer's run has often felt stilted somehow, and this was still the case with this issue, at least for me. But, I am curious to see where he's going with it and will continue to pick up the book.

The guest artist, Shane Davis, did a really great job on the issue, I thought.

It starts to appear while fighting Batman... looks like it's under his Trident costume...
