> He's (still) a sentient force of nature inhabiting a robot body, he's not a robot who got a soul (like say Marvel's Vision). I never heard about the whole soul impring thing from Tomorrow's son, I like the idea, but I haven't seen it mentioned in a while at least.
That came from the Elemental War. A storyline from the last(not the recent)Firestorm series. Firestorm had become Earth's Fire-Elemental and there was this story with all the other elementals including the Swamp-Thing picking sides and going to war. I think, Captain Atom was also somehow linked to the Elementals, though it wasn't said how.
Anyway, the Elementals had one thing in common, a human being had to die in fire, so that this soul would become the template for the elemental.
And there it was stated that in Red Tornado's case, it was Tomorrow's son.

I kind of want track that storyline down, I've heard of it before, but have yet to read it. I'm kind of split though, I like the idea of RT having Tomorrow's son's soul, but I also like the whole Tornado Champion thing.
