I just don't want to sink $40+ (with discounts) into Justice hardcovers if there's going to be some kind of awesome ABSOLUTE edition coming down the pipeline. Anyone know anything about any kind of Absolute or Omnibus edition?

Though one hasn't been announced, the odds are incredibly high that there will be some form of Absolute Justice release next year.
