Is is possible they went back to get Barry and Wally (and family) were riding the lightning by coincidence? It looks like the legion trapped Barry in the lighting rod the Brainiac 5 was holding ar the end of the story.
> Um, I don't know if I misunderstood the issue or you did but Lightning Lad is in the wand (unless something went wrong) and Wally was a side effect. Batman thought it was going to be Barry.

I have no idea of the history of the Legion. I don't understand their bringing back dead members through sacrifice of one of their own. But if Lightning Lad is indeed in the wand why not let him out? Why hold him captive?

Everyone says the Legio disappeared after the first Crisis, but were they not in Action Comics when they battled Superman and Superboy battled Superman?

Lord Majestros:
This is the result of "New Earth" history. Remember, that while the Time Trapper preserved the pre-Crisis LSH continuity by creating the pocket universe and its Superboy, revamped post-Crisis Supes had no clue who they were when they showed up since he had never been Superboy or part of the LSH. The current Superman only regained a history with the LSH as a result of "Infinite Crisis" and/or Superboy Prime's retcon punching. Also, I'm pretty sure I remember reading an interview that said Matrix Supergirl (who was from the pocket universe) never existed in the current universe and since current Supes is part of LSH continuity again, I doubt the Pocket Universe Superboy (or the pocket universe for that matter) existed either.
