You guys warned me, so I don't really have a beef.

But I went ahead and picked up Countdown #45 featuring the JLofA cover and Karate Kid just to see for myself.

Pitiful. \>\:\-\(

That DC feels they can advertise this as a crossover is simply pitiful. There are at most two pages of content dedicated to the JLofA storyline and on neither does anything actually happen. Karate Kid and Dream Girl and Starman talk to some Leaguers and really say nothing I could detect that added a whit to the overall Lightning Saga experience.

Lame. \>\:\-\(

If DC thought they were going to get me onto the Countdown bandwagon with this crossover, they've failed miserably. Not only am I disinterested in what passes for the main storyline here, but the cynical way they drew me (a JLofA fan) into this mess was just aggrivating. They've actually got me agitated against Countdown now as simply uninterested.

I knew there was chance of this, so I went into it thinking I'd just treat the really good cover as simply an alternate for the main story. The cover is actually about all of the League we get here. I've been baited and switched. It's not a good practice for longterm viability.

Rip Off :-/

Do you honestly believe that DC cares about the readers after all the crap they've produced the last few years. "BIG EVENTS", my ass. My DC buying list is practically non existent. It took two more hits with Green Arrow's cancellation and Simone leaving BOP. But I'm saving a ton of money.
