Seems like Gardner Fox and (pick an artist) would have to be on the short list.

But I'll say this too. The current writer (Brad Meltzer) is good enough to keep me reading, which many other writers weren't.

Two other writers that some are mentioning are also on my personal list - Conway and DeMatteis.
