I think though it has more to do with something along the lines like Newsarama having an interview with Dwayne McDuffie and McDuffie saying "In issue #16 Giganta is going to kill Hawkgirl and that sets off Kurt Busiek's FINAL CRISIS limited series. And then I reveal that Green Arrow is in actuality Black Canary's father, not Larry Lance." And then someone posting that information here.

Wouldn't that be "hype" information, and thus not a spoiler? My interpretation of #2 relates to the advanced copies that many retailers get. Sometimes customers can look at these, and potentially spoil a story a week before it is officially released. There was a huge dust-up with Peter David over on the Spider-Man board about this issue several months ago.

Nope. It's revealing spoilers. Hype information would be "In issue #16 there is a death and that starts off a new series. And then I reveal that two characters are father & daughter."

Good point.

Thanks for the input guys but I'm going to let the owners fix the kinks in the spoiler policy. But for now, what I have posted here is this board's spoiler policy.

If anyone would like to contribute their thoughts on the spoiler policy, please e-mail me.
