There were things I liked about that era. A move back to a satellite was nice at the time. Hawkman being around was pretty cool. It's just a shame the stories weren't up to snuff.

I personally think the satellite always made sense as a base of operations for the JLA.

Currently the JLA is based in multiple places simultaneously, if I understand correctly, and I think one of those places is in outer space, right? Teleportation technology makes this simultaneity plausible and I find it pretty nifty.
