"My thanks to Gernot, Brian, Commander, Ian, TJ, Omar--I appreciate the input. It must get tedious for you folks to keep reading my endless criticism and disappointment with much of JLA's early-70's output, and I'm certainly not sparking much discussion of same . . . ."

MY RELATIVE LACK of comment pretty much goes to the same reason as TJ Burns's--I agree with nearly all of your evaluations.

I like the way you review. Too many reviewers consider just spitting back the plot as a review. That falls woefully short. What I want to see in a review is just what you provide: enough plot detail to be able to follow along, but primarily your observations and analysis of the goings-on. That's what makes a review interactive with the reader. The reader's own thoughts and opinions are engaged. He thinks along the lines of "Hey, I never noticed that before!" or "Yeah! He noticed that, too!" or "Man, deke nailed that story dead on!" or "Man, that deke has got it all wrong!"

No matter what, it provokes thought and thereby, discussion.

But if I don't say anything, it is because, like Mr. Ed, I never speak unless I have something to say.

With a principle like THAT, you should NEVER go into politics! \:D
