John joining - good.

Two Green Lanterns - overkill.

Hal leaving - preferred.

New Firestorm - pointless.

Is Geo Force on the team? I thought he wasn't. I welcome him, however. He can have Hal's spot. Or the new Firestorm's.

These new Outsiders are looking cool to me. I'm buying the comic.

The Atom. Preferably Ray Palmer, but the new guy would be OK. So why isn't the new Firestorm OK? Because Firestorm is a lesser character. As such, he should either be brought back in his original form to please his fans or else left in limbo. Creating a new one was pointless. Who was demanding it?

We don't know but if Batman is smart he'll tell them. Of course, DC might intentionally be setting up a JLA/Outsiders clash. The Outsiders have Martian Manhunter so they might have a chance if they fight dirty. \:\)

So, since Blue Beetle is a minor character in DC, are you arguing that your favorite new book and character are pointless? Are you looking forward to Booster bringing Ted Kord back to life sometime in the future/past? Personally, I would like to see Barry Allen, Ted and Ronnie Raymond undead and Hal and Ray in the league. But, I'm just an old fogey. I'm not a fan of discarding an established hero and replacing him with an African American, Hispanic or Asian using the same name, costume and powers. It shows no originality. Marvel is much better at producing original African American characters - Luke Cage, Black Panther, Storm, Bishop, etc.. The only 2 original black heroes that DC seems to have are Black Lightning (who was copied to make Black Vulcan and Static) and Vixen. However, I do like the new Mr. Terrific, Blue Beetle and Atom and the JLU take on John Stewart. I'm not a fan of the new Firestorm or the fact that Hal only got 30 seconds of screen time on JLU. A lot of the characters that would be good in the JLA seem even better suited for the JSA.
