For starters, Meltzer did an excellent job on Identity Crisis. But then he does JLA and I say what happened there? His JLA run was not that great. I liked it but I think the artwork was helping it. I think Mc Duffie saved the book. I really am enjoying his run. With his experience on JLU (which is the best show ever made), I think that he will give us some great stuff to come. And not since Morrison, have I enjoyed and looked forward to the book now that Mc Duffie is on board.

I think Meltzer's run suffered from being given too little editorial interference. The use of the wrong Aquaman is one sign of that. Dwayne's problems come from too much editorial interfernce. His firsts toryline got swallowed by the Black Canary-Green Arrow Wedding monster and then there's Salvation derailing him. Maybe they can decide to start treating a cartoon superstar with his roots in comics as well as a medium level novelist...
