OK I admit that im not completely up on the dynamics of the Crime syndicate so some of what im about to ask may be common knowledge, what im wondering is, how is it that alternate members of a universe where good and evil are reversed would want to resurrect Darkseid? Wouldnt he be a force for good in their universe? And does owlman have a robin/nightwing counterpart?

They wanted to save their world and joined forces with Dr Impossible to do it- but didn't really count on him turning on them, and then to add insult to injury, resurrected the Omega Man instead. Dr Impossible is from our universe, so they were trying to resurrect our Darkseid. And yes, Owlman had a young man called Talon as his sidekick; this guy actually joined our Teen Titans during the lost year.

Darkseid and the New Gods probably don't have counterparts anywhere in the multiverse, given their ties to the Source of all power and the origins of the universe. Like the Spectre or Marvel's Mojo, they probably transcend universes- the Black Racer for example might represent death everywhere. The 4th World tends to be treated like another universe at times, too.
