HMMPH, the whole story advances about 5 minutes...

Justice League - Generation Lost #20

ODDLY, it was a quite enoyable read - all due to the organized origin appropriately titled THE RISE OF MAX LORD. An fine, fine cover for the same reason. However, nothing good with the living JLI happens, save for an emotional Booster moment or two. [But at least it has team title members in it not like JLA this week.] And those more familiar with Max Lord's history might be less impressed with this retelling. How much of this origin is new? It felt poignant and new... it even evoked newfound pathos and even a bit of sympathy for evil Max. Even if not new, his canon read well-weaved in known DCU canon. Even predicting his mother would be revealed a resident of Coast City did not soften the blow of him actually saying it.

Wish he wouldve made a few more observations about the White Lantern to balance the decompressed pacing though.

Other than the Scarab Suit jumpstarting him, it still seems hard to believe that Jaime is 'clearly' and editorially really, really dead...

Still missing my brother...
