JL- Generation Lost 24
They did it again....
-No respect for Wonder Woman - AND YET IT WAS (kinda) HER storyline!
-No short and sweet. Instead we get another uncompelling decompressed arc to arrive the finale of one specific plot pitch. [And apparetnly completely unconnected to the current looooong arc in WW it seems now.] On the plus side, this conclusion was entertaining
. Unfortunately, the summary
in said BD#24 and the explanations in this story hardly explain Max's fate dictated by the White Lantern.
-No need for drawing the line with it being a finale.
-No issue number continuity for readers who prefer sequential satisfaction. Return to a years ago status quo with the final page reveal, just like they flooded us in BD#24
this month - though this one was NOT as unforced, unexpected or unwanted. Looking forward to the new #1. Hopefully, Diana at least gets asked.
What they did right...
-OMAC Prime's DC[DroidCharacter]-friendly origin http://tinypic.com/r/5e7jgx/7
should be potentially precident setting now [done neater than a Marvel PrevPage]
-Max got what was coming to him and at the same time ends up giving the readers what will be coming to them CUE THE VARIANT COVER: http://www.comixology.com/sku/FEB110127/Justice-League-Generation-Lost-24-Var-Ed
-Cpt Atom gave an IMPRESSIVE power display [and farewell performance]
-Booster Gold gave VISCERAL smackdown fun [with some good one liners too]
-Rocket Red gave the comedic element in an entertaining way
-Jaime ain't your grandfather Ted's Blue Beetle and does his predecessor proud: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b340/sambacci/BBMB07emerick.jpg
-Fire had believable concern for her fallen team mate
-PG and Ice put in their time and provided some eye candy
-Batman [was Bruce, yea!] and returns to mover and shaker status in a JL title
All in all a action-packed, good issue with plenty to get out of it
- but what did Wonder Woman
get? Some damsel in distress scenes and only the victim scenes.
Still missing my brother...
