The team responsible for the Bwah-ha-ha era of the book, and creators of this week's JLA Retroactive 1990s issue, recently spoke about their time on the original series and subsequent reunions.

I'm dissapointed Kevin Maguire doesn't get more high profile work, I saw his stuff on Velocity and Weird Worlds and he's still a unique talent.
That Justice League series is one of the gems of the 80s comics scene, it got off to a shaky start but after adjusting to its very different tone I embraced it wholly. O\:\-\) Just seeing those covers brings back that feeling of anticipation I got when reading them. A great Shame that DCs modern era editors and writers appear to be embarrassed by it... cas omics today are far far too serious.
