Previous Post I'm back with some cool news about my favorite Justice League...JUSTICE LEAGUE UNITED!!! After a three month hiatus, the title will come back in July with Issue #11. Gone is the talented storytelling of Jeff Lemire. In is the new team of Jeff Parker (the writer) and artwork by Travel Foreman. In addition, four more characters will be added to the group. They are Poison Ivy (whom I'm not looking forward to), Mera, Swamp Thing, and Etrigan. Of the four, I'm looking forward to Etrigan the most. So if you had all nine pre-Convergence JLU members with the newcomers, the team would be: Adam Strange, Alanna Lewis, Animal Man, Equinox, Etrigan, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Martian Manhunter, Mera, Poison Ivy, Stargirl, Supergirl, and Swamp Thing. From the solicitation I read, at least Alanna, Stargirl, and Equinox will be returning and I also saw Animal Man on the cover. Also, if Alanna is in, that means Adam Strange will be in as well. Also, we learn Martian Manhunter will be staying on board as well. Now if only Green Arrow and Hawkman were still on the team. Also, if only Atom and Black Canary were added as well. I also hope they stay in Canada. Until then, I can't wait until July to read about the new JLU.

Quick update to my post:

+The core roster will be Adam Strange, Alanna Lewis, Equinox, Animal Man, and Stargirl.
+Poison Ivy, Mera, Swamp Thing, and Etrigan are going to be temporary members and the roster will have constant changes.
+Jeff Parker will write the comic.
+Travel Foreman will do the art.
+No variant for issue #11.
+Supergirl will be off the team "for now." In other words, there is a possibility she will return sooner or later.
+Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, and Hawkman are also off the team, but I would like to see them return, too.

My opinion of the new team:

While I like Adam Strange, Alanna, Equinox, Animal Man, and Stargirl, I'm not too crazy about the newcomers. However, I like the fact that a couple of redheads are joining a mostly blonde team. Of the four, I'm looking forward to seeing Mera the most since she's my most likely choice. Poison Ivy, on the other hand, is like putting Catwoman in Justice League of America. I'm against adding a former Batman villain to a Justice League. If it were up to me, I'd say I'd add Batgirl or Batwoman. Hey, even Katana would get my vote.

Swamp Thing and Etrigan should not have been on the team. They should be with Justice League Dark. But this is Mr. Parker's choice, so we'll have to accept it for a while. I just hope the team is temporary and that Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Hawkman, and Supergirl return to the team in the future.
