I actually went the other way with this issue, and gave it a full rating. Why? I was happy to see this long delayed storyline come to fruition, and it also reminds how transient the N52 universe actually is. Johns' set-up of constant war, is basically filler for the wait to the story he's been waiting to tell, which is what was delivered here.

...though I've only read about half of these 41 issues and loathed most of them, so saying this is my favorite isn't necessarily saying a lot. It isn't reader friendly, but since I've been reading comics for over 30 years, I got every reference. It was a good set-up issue, but Johns has done good set-up in the past only to have poor payoff (Infinite Crisis, Blackest Night, Trinity War).
