Quote:Didn't the AM though create the Morbious Chair, or at least was one of its first users, and that made him go bonkers?
I dont know whether it can be said the chair made him mad, but yes, he created it. Something that I am not particularly happy about as it devalues Metron and his brilliance.
Quote:And do we really need to have a reak and pathiric superman running around here, again, and do we really need to have him going rogue and evil again?
We don't need yet another evil-superman treatment no I agree, but I do suspect that Superman will fight the Dark Side and triumph. This is a story that seems to be using Batman and Superman as the light and the dark, Batman gets to see the light, Superman gets to see the dark thanks to Apokoliptian taint. The evil-Superman trope is past its best in my view, past time to give it a rest.
Man, for the good old days, when Superman by himself would go there to confront darkseid, and lex was his greatest enemy!
I actually much prefer this new arrangement with the New Gods, one of the things DC did right with the reboot.
That would mean that the AM is really old, and that he was powerful due to tech even before becoming what he is now?
As DC ever explained just how Superman and the new gods might tie in together then?
Do you remember the John B story where Supes thought that he was the reral son of Darkseid, and that he managed to take Seid full Omegas before beating him down?
