Reply Subj: Justice League 48 Review! GARBAGE! RANT!

A criminal waste of Fabook's considerable talents.

Considerable, indeed. Loved the artwork here.

This is one of the worst cases of decompression I've ever seen! And he seems to think he needs another couple issues *and* yet another DS War special!

That last panel blurb about continuing in Justice Leauge: Darkseid War #1 made me groan out loud upon reading it. UGH. (The possible kinky plans -to stretch things out more- that Grail infers in the panel for Trevor made me cringe a little too.)

Justice League 048 (2016)

Quick replies to this dccomics forum link now follow...

> The epic “Darkseid War” continues
More accurately it "coasts" along in the decompressed disaster you noted.

> as the League is forced to unite with their evil counterparts, the Crime Syndicate, to defeat the nigh-omnipotent Anti-Monitor!
They're "forced" by Wonder Woman since the team didn't appear to vote on her say so.

> Plus, what is the terrible secret behind Superwoman’s newborn child?
We do not find anything out at all - unless it's secret is that it's ready to pop.

> Obviously this is a well thought out storyline, but there are some things that need to be addressed. For instance, I want to now what happen to Aquaman. I have a feeling that the end is going to be somewhat disappointing. I can't think of anything that could be shocking other than a hero dying.
Fair gripe.

> BlindedBandit
> I'm hoping Aquaman appears atleast by the end of this and is like "So.. what did I miss?"
> I wish Sea King could of atleast filled in for a replacement.
No point in considering logical replacements since there is sadly no concern for cross-title canon anymore.

> I know I'm beating a dead horse, but this creative over continuity is not working at all. You mean to tell me that writers can't remain creative with continuity. If being creative is giving GL long hair, making Gordon the new and ridiculous Batman and also tweaking the others. DC has failed so far! Just create another damn earth universe and be creative to your hearts content!! Bring back continuity damn it.
Testify! Some of the moments in this ish were okay and would have been considered quite notable if there wasn't a DisrespeCt for continuity.

> I'm almost certain this takes place before Divergence. Before Batman's Endgame since he learns about and confronts Joe Chill. In Endgame he already knows who Joe Chill is. And Joker as well I guess. Who knows, maybe after we'll get a story that follows the events of Divergence.

> if a story is great as this one. why bother with making everything fit with the other books? just enjoy the storyline man.
It's rather difficult if most of the elements are intended to play off key points of the past forever all the way back to Jack Kirby's work.

> Wesjones
> This story is good not great. If this title had crappy art, I wouldn't bother to read it.
Agreed. The art is fantastic grabber material. That double splash of the GLC arriving? Supe-poib!

> The lack of continuity isn't the end of the universe or anything remotely close. It's early in this new direction DC has decided take, so I really don't have much of an argument. Give it a year and then you'll see the cracks widening. If it doesn't! Then I'm wrong!!!! life goes on.
At this pace this offputting Darkseid War may not be over! ;\)

> Glad to see two Green Lanterns in the spotlight of the cover!
Props to Stewart there. Can anyone name all the key Lanterns that showed up with him?
