Reply Subj: Top 5 Favourite JSAers Posted: Wed Jan 17, 2007 at 03:22:23 pm EST
> What are your top five members of the JSA? These are mine: 1.) Hawkman - I've ALWAYS related to Hawkman. He and I have always had similar personalities and worldviews, with the exception of the Messner-Loebs era. (I chalk that entire period up to the insanity from the Hawk-merger.) There's virtually no story he can't find a place in, and I just generally love reading about him. My only regret is that he can't be on the JSA AND the JLA. ![]() 2.) Dr. Fate (Kent Nelson) - I've always loved Kent and his magical helmet. I'll be onboard for the new Dr. Fate ongoing for sure. 3.) Mr. Terrific - I really like Michael. He's one of the best examples of a nonrelated legacy hero ever, and that just tickles me. His role in Checkmate promises to expand the character even more. What a great use for a character than languished in Limbo for years after his creation! 4.) Hourman - Both Rex and Rick have become some of my favorite characters recently, with their never-say-die nature... even after actually dying! I hope the clock never runs out on either of them. 5.) Wildcat - The gruff everyman type of hero has an appeal for me, and for one with as strange a life as poor Ted's lived, I'm glad to see him keeping to his roots. What a great character. I'm going to give honorable mention to Maxine Hunkle, who's just as cute as can be, and the new Starman, who is as original a character as I've seen in a while. I wouldn't be surprised to see them slide onto my list in future editions. Count me in for hoping poor Mr. America pulls through after issue #1. (Still haven't seen #2 yet, thanks to my subscription service.) TJB
