Back in continuity that is.
Now I could be wrong, as the details of the ever-shifting sand that is DCU continuity often escapes me, but I've been under the impression for sometime that the excellent JLA Year One stories were phased out of strict contiuity after the most recent Crisis because Wonder Woman had been returned to the founding role replacing Black Canary who long ago replaced Wonder Woman and so forth.
Well in the current 52 issue, the two-page JLA "origin" says that the Year One team did take over after the founding of the team by the Big Three and some others, so I guess those Year One books are back in. Year One is now mentioned as essential reading for budding JLA fans.
That is unless DCU continuity has changed again since yesterday.
I was relieved also that JLA: Year One is an essential read again. Rather than 7 founding members it's 8 founding members. Black Canary and Wonder Woman are included in the founding line-up. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman were reserves at the beginning. It's great!
First the return of Superman as a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes and now the amalgination of the Silver Age orgin and the Post Crisis on the infinite Earths origin of the JLA. What's next the return of the Mutilverse? Ops! I gave the last issue of 52 away.
