Jack didn't stick around very long in the last series (maybe 15-20 issues?). I don't expect Thom to stay long either.

And yes, a new "old" LSH title would be great!

To me I like the character of Starman alot and I am sure I am like most here who tremendously liked Robinsons run. I read a few issues of the Will Payton Starman in college and thought the character had potential but to me he seemed underused in the DCU as a whole, I am sure there are great issues with him in it but I have not read them.
I think the point of the LSH type Starman in the JSA is to show the whole impact of the heroic legacy the JSA has and continues to have on the DCU heroes. Surely there is a nostalgia factor (that can be hard to express the familarity of the characters to new readers) as I remember the Starman (or Star boy) character from the Legion as a kid and will always have fond memories of him, Chamelon boy, Wildfire, Mon-el, etc but I think they are trying to go somewhere with this all. Trying Kingdom Come into the mainstream DCU would seem daunting at first but I think there can be some cool plotlines that come from this.
In the first run of the JSa early on Jack Knight was kind of in the background to me and that was a little dissapointing but I imagine the writers felt the need to put the other characters in the spotlight. That said it seems differant now and I hope we get a good 2-3 year run with the story of Thom Kallor and see how the legacies of the JSA and the Legion of Super heroes are tied together. They both have Mordru as a main villain now and thats cool by me. I have to wonder if the Legion fought Vandal Savage to any extent as both Mordru and Savage are long lived "immortal" antagonists.

good reading to you all
