My question is: How was that percieved by those living in post-crisis? Did she just magically-appear one day? I've been thinking about this for awhile, and that's the only explanation I can think of.

Lord Majestros:
The magically mutated granddaughter of Arion from Atlantis origin was also revealed to be untrue before "JSA Classified" and "Infinite Crisis" and her origin was unknown for some time.

There were bits in JSA like Dr. Midnight foundings, that her powers are biological based and that it doesn't look like she came from the past. And finally Arion himself stating that the whole thing wasn't true at the climax of 'Princes of Darkness'.

Of course, what Geoff had planned originally for her is not known.
