There might be one with a lot of similarities, but I don't think that the point of creating a new multiverse was to re-live the past. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that's where this whole thing is headed.

I don't think most old school fans want to merely rehash the old days.....I think we just want the stories we love to still count, and the old continuity to still be used. Its a shame that DC is not going back to the pre crisis multiverse....just have the stories pick up in the present and fill in the gaps of where the multiverse stories went from COIE thru to present day. For instance, Roy Thomas' intention was to eventually retire the modern day JSA, and Infinity Inc could become the new younger JSA (basically the direction that Geoff Johns went.)
The talk is how hard the pre crisis worlds were to understand...I think DC is worse off now.....you not only have to understand pre crisis worlds, but also the single DC universe, and try to apply all that to a brand new multiverse. The original multiverse was not hard at all to understand, and it was a great concept.
I digress though.....I merely wished to voice my own opinion on where they SHOULD go, but in fact they are taking a direction with the new stories, I have no intention of following.
