Croc got cloned lots by the Council before they were annihilated by Black Adam and co., so it could easily be one of them.

Actually Wildcat refers to this Sportsmaster as 'Vic' or 'Victor'. I suspect this is the one that was seen in the Suicide Squad during the War of the Gods crossover. I believe his name was Victor Gross and he did not die in that story. In that one though he was shown to have some type of armor and could imitate other people's movements. Has that version turned up anywhere else?
