No you're right. But at the same time i have to say Johns has real talent at creating these new characters - the new Judomaster is intriguing, Cyclone is a dear, Amazing Man has won me over immediatly - there's something a lot more convincing about him than his predecessors... not a fan of Wildcats son though *rhe*
I think with the rumor of a new Infinity Inc that's where it's headed.
But you are right in that all this foundation building has blighted the book, not much of a solid storyline has occured as yet outside of the Lightning Saga and that was entirely open ended...
To an extent it was also a hallmark of the last series though, long stretches of reinvention and empire building but you have to have faith it will all pay off in the long run. I have a lot of faith in Johns, Green Lantern was a slow burner and not much seemed to be happening until with the Sinestro Wars everything fell into place and you could see everything had had a method all along! That was fantastic plotting and crafting from Johns. He had a longterm plan and we were rewarded. I trust him to do the same with current JSA.

Well, the Sinestro War did pay off in spades. I'm watching and waiting with JSA, but it's going to have to be twice as good as Sinestro War for the pay off to feel worth it!
