How did Johns miss the fact Thunder's childhood and relationship with Black Lightning pre-her first appearance are blank slates? How did he miss that (to my knowledge) BL's ex-wife has never made an appearance in print? She appears as if we are supposed to be as familiar with her and her backstory as we are with Lois Kent's and it's frustrating. Johns is usually the guy who makes a story out of continuity gaffes. How odd he's perpetuating one of his own...

And yes, I'm getting repetitive but this is just so bizarre. If this were Milar or Winick it would just be Instance #812 of them messing up on continuity but with Johns this is Instance #1 so I can't seem to let go...

It just that recently they revealed he had children with her before they divorced. Seeing as how Jefferson was only superheroly active in the shortlived 70s and 90s Black Lightning series and 80s Outsider series, (and not in numerous titles like Batman and Superman) its not unreasonable to think he helped his ex-wife Lynn raise his daughters off panel.
