Does anyone remember in Lightning Saga, they were saying how Terry and Bruce were probably more like best friends than Bats and Supes. Was that ever explored more in another book, or did they just come up with that for the Team up.

I'm not sure about that. Bruce has more in common with Michael than with Clark, sure, but he's known Clark for much longer and both of them have grown very close to each other over the years despite their differences.

Their friendship started in issue #31 of "JSA", and has been followed upon since. You can also see them together in "JSA" issue #54, and the "JLA/JSA: Virtue & Vice" graphic novel.

"Ok you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?"
