I just finished reading the lastes issue of Justice Society and it is a perfect example of what is wrong with this comic. This comic is about history and legacy but apparently they can't get writers that understand this. The whole "build up the team" concept that lead into the Gog story is completely thrown out the window here. Now the core group is supposedly miffed with these brand new members because they picked the wrong side in the battle. These members were brand new and had nothing really to base this decision on other than their undeveloped gut instincts. It seems to me that whole scenerio backs up why they wanted then on the team in the first place by showing how badly they need mentoring. The whole "who's in, who's out" conversation was just awful. Let's keep a character like Lightening on the team who has NOTHING to do with the JSA, it's history, or any golden age legacy but boot Mister America because he doesn't have cool super powers. We'll just keep ignoring interesting characters like Jakeem and Sand because we can't find enough stuff for the existing characters to do but we still need new ones. Let's kick Hawkman, one of the single best examples of who should be on this team, off just because he's been pissy lately. Forget his 60+ year track record as a loyal member, who cares about stuff like that? This was all just a waste of perfectly good panels to pad out yet another story.

On a side rant, the Black Adam story seems interesting so far. Shouldn't the first words out of Jay or Alan's mouths be "let's get Jakeem over here with the Thunderbolt and have him replace Billy's lightening like he did years ago on Earth S when he was cut off from the Rock of Eternity"? Didn't Mary just have a big tear jerking revelation in Final Crisis where she was never going to use "the word" again and yet here's Black Mary back at the end. Anybody about ready to see these losers stripped of their powers for good since they obviously can't decide what to do with them?

> Thanks! I hate to see Damage possibly go, but having him & Atomsmasher on the same team seems a bit redundant. If he does go, hopefully he'll find a home back with the Titans.
