With Power Girl getting her own series isn't it about time to cover up the clevage? I mean at least a bit. Sex sells. I get it. Women superheroes have traditionally been depicted as 'sexy' first and foremost. Ok. But with Power Girl it just has always felt like the line between sexy and slutty doesn't exist. Are we really supposed to believe that a strong assertive woman in 2009 would go out to fight crime dressed like that? I'd at least like it if for once another woman in a comic would call her out on it!

Is it realistic? No. Is it objectifying? Yes. Does it help sell comics? Probably. Is it sexy? Definitely. Are these the same answers you'd give to 80% of the female superheroes out there? Yeah.

I think her costume's better than Witchblade's (if you can call that a costume) or Emma Frost's or any number of other heroines. So ultimately, unless you're going to boycott comics in general, I don't think it's reasonable to single out Power Girl.
