With Power Girl getting her own series isn't it about time to cover up the clevage? I mean at least a bit. Sex sells. I get it. Women superheroes have traditionally been depicted as 'sexy' first and foremost. Ok. But with Power Girl it just has always felt like the line between sexy and slutty doesn't exist. Are we really supposed to believe that a strong assertive woman in 2009 would go out to fight crime dressed like that? I'd at least like it if for once another woman in a comic would call her out on it! \:\-\)
In case you're wondering - Yes, I'm straight. I still think it's overdone.
In case you're wondering - Yes, I read that 'the hole symobolizes my search for identity' story. All I can say to that is show a picture of Power Girl to any woman you know and give them that explaination. Let me know if you can do it with a straight face and if they can listen to your 'explaination' without rolling their eyes! \(wink\)

...she dresses as if she was an easy going, light-hearted, woman with whom it is easy to flirt and have a laugh together, when actually she isn't. She's the complete opposite of that. Her costume doesn't match her personality at all, which leads me to think that either she's wrongly designed, or she's just badly written.
