I wasn't sure if this should be asked on the Batman board or here, but since it seems Power Girl and Huntress are being discussed on this board, here goes...

I'm not reading World's Finest, but am curious about the Huntress, due to her connection to Batman.

We know they've sort of tied Helena Wayne into what remains of the pre-reboot Batman continuity by saying she replaced Helena Bertinelli, somehow taking over the latter's life.

Now, are we to understand this took place before Bertinelli became the Huntress, or after she'd created that superhero identity?

Also, whenever the switch happened, how could she just take over Helena Bertinelli's life? Did Bertinelli look just like Helena Wayne? That'd be a little...strange...to say the least.

Did Helena Wayne look enough like Bertinelli where use of makeup of some sort made it possible for her to pass herself off without anyone noticing?

Has any of this been addressed, aside from the simple mention that she took over HB's life?

Any light you can shed would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well this is a really good question and I'm afraid there's no hard answer. What we do know for a fact is that Helena Wayne was using the Bertinelli/Huntress names for quite awhile, she had her own six issue mini just after the 'new 52' started and this led straight into Worlds Finest. Helena Wayne says Bertinelli was real but died, she took over her identity. So given she and Power Girl arrived 5 years ago it seems quite possible Helena Wayne took Bertinelli's name and created The Huntress identity... I'd be surprised if she's running about using Bertinelli's 'Huntress' identity while abandoning her other name, but then again that's pure speculation, I just don't know!

As you say it would be odd if Bertinelli/Huntress was already established and Wayne just took over her life midway through, SOMEONE would notice surely...Odds are Wayne took over the identity before Bertinelli created 'The Huntress' or just before Bertinelli/Huntress was established fully.

Come to think on it how many of Bertinelli/Huntress' Bat-family adventures are in-continuity now anyway? \(geek\)
