Hi! Thank-you for the kind words. O\:\-\) Fate's new look is a bit too much I think, too busy, but I shall reserve proper judgement till next issue when it's seen in action. In principle I do like the idea of the extra armour as it complements the helmet, I'd never considered this before but Fate does look like a knight, a shining knight...
As I said in last months review I think Robinson made aan error in making Khalid Kent Nelson by another name, he has the exact same origin as Nelson and the exact same 'curse' with the Helmet and Nabu. I think it smothers him, when you look back on Doctor Fate and Nabu his host has always tended to be a depressive, a perpetually miserable victim caught in an abusive relationship. I think that's why Hector Hall worked for me as he was the opposite to that - he nominally liked being Doctor Fate and he fought and rejected Nabu's overbearing prescence all the way near enough. In short Hector was his own man. And I hope Khalid follows suit, otherwise this is just the same old boring Doctor Fate/Kent Nelson, an eternal victim who appeals to no one...

I truely look forward to your reviews, I enjoy them that much. I search out your posts about every other week to see if you've updated the links with something new \:\) .

I can agree with the "too busy" part. The decorations on the gold parts are close to being "to much" for me too. I was mainly commenting on the black part over the old blue color. I'm not one on fashion mind you, but black looks so much better with gold (IMO).

I agree with your assessment on "more armor" looking better, too. He does have that Knight in shining armor look to him.

Dr. Fate has been one of my favorite character for awhile, and I'm looking forward to reading more stories with him in it and seeing his battle with Wotan next issue.

This book has been a pleasant suprise for me, i didn't think I would like it as I was never big on the JSA in general and don't care for the changes they made to Alan, but I'm really liking Jay. I'm not very big on the suit, but I'm really starting to like him as a character more than ever before. Dr. Fate is a bonus and am looking forward to reading more of both of them.
