This book has been a pleasant suprise for me, i didn't think I would like it as I was never big on the JSA in general and don't care for the changes they made to Alan, but I'm really liking Jay. I'm not very big on the suit, but I'm really starting to like him as a character more than ever before. Dr. Fate is a bonus and am looking forward to reading more of both of them.

Take consolation that Jay's look isn't favored by James Robinson either, these designs come from up above and he has little say in them, however he does hope this will change in time and along with Alan's costume you may see alterations given time.
With Jay the look is growing on me, it's never going to be any classic, fondly remembered by future generations, but I think it suits his personality and I can see the helmet is actually based on proffesional cyclist sportswear. It doesn't quite work for me but I do understand the thinking behind it at least.
