In 2015, with the Nu DC here to stay, i say its time to retire the concept of the jsa. The
team was tethered to the 40s, wwii, and e2 versions of characters and a host of d-listers. It was a tenuous concept to keep alive at best,

But i will say, the jsa resurgence in the late 90s and early 2000s was amazing. Robinson, goyer, and johns performed a minor miracle by making that series one of the best of the decade,

but i think that there time is done with all thats transpired over the years in the comic biz. Another resurgence simply is not feasible and they have no place any more. Time for dc to let em' go.

I don't necessarily disagree with the core of your argument, there are valid points therein, but for me the more serious problem behind the JSA in recent years is the chronic mismanagement and needless tinkering from DC comics - the gamble of ditching the past and restarting from the beginning for the great 2011 revamp was a brave one, and in my view paid off handsomely. We were delivered a brave new world that could have run and run thanks to James Robinson's skilled worldbuilding and gift for character, here we are though with the ill-advised Worlds End and not three years into this new era DC are all too willing to throw gasoline on the barely introduced Earth-2 universe and torch it to ash for a flash-in-the-pan sales event... it looks and reads like gross irresponsibility from the publisher. Of short-term thinking and profit before sustainability.

What happens once Worlds End concludes should be a cause for real concern for all JSA fans, as if the Earth-2 concept is mortally wounded as a result of all of this there is no going back to sunnier days. \(broken\)
