Wow.. I really enjoyed it and renewed my E2 subscription. Given I kinda fell off E2 right around the time the new Kryptonian was revealed and never picked up World's End. Convergence got me to check Society out and between it and the sneak peekthe book got me back in.

Was it the new world that turned you off? We haven't really seen too much yet so maybe my excitement or your distaste are premature?

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I confess I was not impressed myself, but your point of view is an interesting one as you are a lapsed reader returning for this new #1 issue, I find that an interesting perspective. One aspect that troubled me about the book was that for a first issue it might not be new reader friendly as it had a strong reliance on flashbacks and exposition rather than just treat it as a fresh start aimed at a brand new audience. The book is heavy with events seen previously, which is rather too much weight to put on a relaunch issue...

But your interest in it as a jump-on point is encouraging. \(yes\)
