Quote:I was also wondering about the change it appears Green Lantern origin is back to the traditional form a unexplained change from new writer Dan Abnett who already has his power being ring based in a recent issue a departure from Robinson origin
Well I can't believe it is a mistake from Dan Abnett, but on the other hand it makes no sense at all. None.
This series has long had an appalling attitude to even the most basic of continuity, but how one can go from Alan Scott's established origins to having the Ring be Oan takes my breath away... you would have to ignore most of the Earth-2 stories seen so far to even entertain any Oan connection.
I must of missed an issue why is the helmet of Nabu shattered? How could something of magic stay shattered?
Unexplained, as with why/how Michael Holt returned to Earth-1 this is something that occurs in the gap between the Worlds End series and this current 'Society' series. Like so many other things in this series stuff just happens, there is never any explanation of logic, it just appears there on the page and the reader is left to either work out their own reasoning or frown away in annoyance.
So he was not empowered up by magical energies, and affected by wood then?
