Quote:for hanging in as long as you did. I had to call it quits back when Darkseid returned. I flipped through a couple of issues after that fiasco, but never bought anything.
Quote:This book held such promise at the start of Nu52; it was a shame what happened to it. Here's hoping its 'Rebirth' brings back the true JSA of old, or at least the spirit of what they COULD have been if Robinson's Nu52 ideas continued.
I agree, all of that success and promise of the first year heralded one of the few unqualified successes of the New 52 relaunch. What happened into the second year with James Robinson exiting and his replacement Tom Taylor lasting only several promising issues, and what then followed on from that, suggests to me deliberate vandalism. A book that was rivalling the company's Justice League was shunted into a one-way dead end street and assigned mediocre talent to ensure it would be no threat or distraction to the premier title that boasted Geoff Johns and Jim Lee/Ivan Reis./Jason Fabok etc...
That might sound harsh, but the facts do speak for themselves with Earth-2's development over the last three years.
So it would be best now to have this title just finished off, and have th real jsa get rebirthed back into main DCU now?
