Not a lot of buzz when/after Feige mentioned a Marvel movie on Shang chi Master of Kung fu (Respond to the success of Crazy Rich Asians).

Shang Chi could replace the Fighter/solder hero with Evans/CA leaving. Nova for Iron Man, Dr. Strange for Thor, ....

Since Shang's father is a James Bond level badguy, who runs a super secret, powerful, evil empire bent on world domination or destruction or something something, ...could be fodder of conflict and story themes for Marvel's next wave of movies.

I suggest something like Shakespeare's King Lear story line. Shang being an Asian American, Midnight man an Asian African, and maybe a Asian Russian, sons of the Evil mastermind, fighting it out who would inherit the empire.

A Japanese film director made Ran, story similar to King Lear, decades ago, and it was big hit then.

May work. But I'm not really looking forward to SCMOKF. But maybe others might like a Marvel version of a Shakespeare play.

The 1970s Master of Kung-Fu book was basically "Bruce Lee vs Fu Manchu". For obvious reasons, they cannot follow the same pattern.

Also, The Master of Kung-Fu is already the name of a 2015 Wu Xia Pian (and probably other older movies).

Currently, following exposure to the cosmic radiation from the Incursions, Shang-Chi is able to create an unlimited number of duplicates of himself. Frankly, I hope that Marvel Studios will forget this dumb idea ...

Instead of Fu Manchu, I suppose that the Shadow Council could be the main antagonist of the movie. Another possibility would be to use the Atlas Foundation even though in comics it is associated with Jimmy Woo and not Shang-Chi. Of course, yet another possibility would be to use the Ten Rings group as an opponent in the same way than in the Iron Man movies.

Maybe, Freelance Restorations, Shen Kuei , Midnight Sun, Ghost Maker, Razor Fist, Moving Shadow, Skull-Crusher, the Prince of Orphans or the Immortal Weapons could appear in the movie.

IMO, currently, 3 actors have the skills & charisma of Shang-Chi :
- Tiger Chen

- Iko Uwais

- Tony Jaa

(NB : there are a lot of other martial artists working for the Chinese cinema industry but they are very expensive, don't speak English and are not accustomed to Hollywood methods)

Among them, Tiger Chen seems to be the most obvious choice because he has worked a long time for Hollywood.
