Lots of good potential in the series. Some of the points I didn't care for:
Female Prime Minister (didn't like Luthor as president though).
More disrespect for Dr.Strange (doesn't look like a rag).
Tony has so much Canadian pull (other gov'ts should be just as in awe in this case).
Pointer is who Walt says no to (very unfortunately we know Walt won't get his way).
So much stress on anonymity of heroes (at times like this they throw around civilian names surprisingly revealed).
Talisman comments about her dad (strange).
Sasquatch's vision (sequence seemd a bit unclear after that, was that Nitro flashback?).
> The issue opens up with the Canadian Prime Minister and her cabinet concerned over the super-villians pouring into Canada after the fallout of the Civil War. Its decided the Canadian governmnet will work with SHIELD to form a new team.
> Sasquatch is brought in, to give the new team a familiar face. When told the team name will be Omega Flight it does not sit well with Walter. Since this was the team that killed the first Guardian. However, its explain the reason for new name is 2 fold. 1, Omega is the last letter in Greek alphabet and this team will be the last line of defense. 2) The new name stands for second chances. Walter realizes this even more when he sees dossiers on recruits US Agent, Arachne and the new Guardian. The final memeber does not make Walter happy
> Walter tries to recruit Talisman who declines becuz she was not happy with her father bringing her into the first Alpha Flight, plus Talisman is busy being the new shaman to her village.
> The Wrecking Crew comes to Canada to take advanatage of the lack of heroes. Sasquatch confronts them. The battle goes back and forth. Until Walter freezes up in battle when he has a flashback to the battle with the Collective, which causes him to question his morality. The Wrecking Crew takes advantage of situation and start to been him unmerciless and the issues ends on that point.
> Sasquatch is the only member seen in action in the issue, I am assuming Beta Ray Bill will make a last minute rescue of Walter in the next issue.
> Overall I think it was a great issue, only negative comments I have. It should of been a double-size issue especially since its only a 5 issue mini-series. Feels like there is more story to tell then will be issues left to tell it. Tha art of Kolins is impressive but I noticed in scenes when there were more then 3 people the scenes looked rushed and the people looked alike.
> I would give this issue 4 Maple Leafs out of 5 and hope it does become a ongoing

Something wrong with a female PM?

Tony's got worldwide pull.
> Pointer is who Walt says no to (very unfortunately we know Walt won't

Like the man said, this is about last chances. And Pointer wasn't responsible for anything that happened. He's just as much a victim as Alpha Flight.

Not really strange. Nothing we didn't already know.
> Sasquatch's vision (sequence seemd a bit unclear after that, was that

No. That was a flashback to The Collective killing most of Alpha Flight.
