> Now that the time has come for the first issue, I thought I would voice my preliminary thoughts regarding this series. Right now, I'm seeing a Thunderbolts rip-off title here. And I don't like the idea that Moonstone is the new "Ms. Marvel" or whatever. I didn't like it when she was Meteorite and was happy she went back to her old name within a year. Moonstone is Moonstone to me, and I dislike her using different names. However, I'm curious about the title anyway. Bendis is hit and miss with me, but he's got me curious about Iron Patriot. I also love the fact that the great Spider-Woman aversary Morgan Le Fey will be kicking ass in the first arc. Noh-Varr is interesting enough to follow, although I can't stand the useless Sentry and I think Ares is a bastard, although a perfect fit for the title. All in all, I'm going to try things out, but I'm thrilled with the Tunderbolts rip-off theme and hope that Bendis has a twist here. What does everyone else think of the book so far?

Thought it was a great first issue. No real surprises as the Dark Avengers have been topics of speculation for months, but still good story and pacing. I was a bit worried that Bendis wouldn't be able to portray Norman as savvy and psycho in the way that Ellis was able to in Thunderbolts, but I think he nailed him. I'm curious as to what Norman has promised Sentry and for some reason I want to see more of the new Captain Marvel.
