Quote:After reading about this, in which movie will the soul stone end up?
IMO, Marvel still hesitate because the Soul Stone has a very long Marvel history and it is linked to Adam Warlock.
Quote:So, either Marvel introduces the gem with Warlock or they try a different approach.
I'm thinking the latter.
James Gunn director of Guardians of the Galaxy gave a non committal answer about the cocoon.
“Yeah, there’s a cocoon that’s exactly like Adam Warlock’s. I wasn’t really thinking that much when I put that in. That was my idea to put that in there. They’re like, ‘What should we put in?” So I went in the Marvel handbook and like just picked cool things that looked neat to put into the boxes. It looked like Adam’s Warlock cocoon, so now everyone thinks he’s out of there and you know… I don’t know … There’s a lot of stuff in there and there’s also a lot of things that people think they see that I don’t think is in there – unless the visual effects guys were pulling tricks on me… which they could have!”
So to me it sounds like there has been no master plan to include Warlock all along. The contents of that cocoon may never be revealed or even relevant.
Quote:The gem could appear in 'Thor Ragnarok' or 'Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2'.
I don't expect to see it until Avengers Infinity War. I think the Thor 3 and GotG 2 movies won't be advancing the infinity stone plot or Thanos plot.
I'm thinking there will be a lot of fanfare in the beginning of Infinity War about Thanos acquiring the final stone.
Quote:The Grandmaster will appear in 'Thor Ragnarok and, as one of the Elders, he has always been interested by the Infinity Gems.
Also, Hela, the Goddess of Death, might be the "Big Bad" of 'Thor Ragnarok' and the Soul Stone happens to have the property to steal and collect souls.
Quote:Ego and Mantis will appear in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2'.
Ego is another Elder of the Universe (even though, he isn't a core member of the team usually lead by the Grandmaster) and Mantis has empathic abilities (which could have been given by the Soul Stone).
Speaking of Mantis and the Elders...they should totally tie Mantis to the Gardener and not kung fu Kree warriors on earth. They have that whole cosmic talk to plants thing going for them.
Quote:Also, the cocoon of Adam Warlock already appeared both in 'Thor Dark World' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
They could swerve and introduce Her/Kismet as being the being in the cocon and have her serve Adam Warlock's role (Eve Witch?)
Quote:So, I think that clues about the last Infinity Stone might appear in both these 2 movies ... or it will only appear at the beginning of the 'Avengers Infinity War' movie.
Quote:Either a spider got a little to close to that stone or vibranium is the power stone. Opps... I thought the power stone was the last one to be seen when I typed that up. Maybe they are making the Darkhold the soul stone on the TV show... yeah right and pigs might fly.
Quote:Indeed, I would be very surprised if the Soul Stone first appeared on the TV show.
Agreed. Nothing of consequence happens on the show. You've never going to have to worry about an idea from Agents of SHIELD showing up at the movies. At least not an important one.
