Quote: Thank you. That was insightful and a good romp through Marvel history.Quote: Am I the only one that enjoyed the Genis-Vell PD stuff?I wasn't in love with it, but it was fun. I hate Genis's origin. Being created by Elysius from Marv's sperm after he's dead and then his childhood is stolen from him by his mother who artificially ages him to adulthood to protect her sorry ass. Hate hate hate it. I was fine with PAD's Genis stuff. Except the storyline where we're shown Genis will murder his son Ely with Songbird while he's an infant. At some point Genis started to infringe on my love for the Thunderbolts. First there was his romance with Songbird in Avengers Forever thus signaling that Songbird and Mach-1 (a romance I liked) was doomed to failure. Then Nicieza added him to the Thunderbolts. At that point I needed him dead. I didn't want him anywhere near the Thunderbolts. He wasn't a former villain (ok he was crazy for a while...not a professional villain). I cackled with glee when my favorite character Helmut Zemo was the one to kill him because by that point I had come to really hate Genis. Quote: Anyone else remember the Captain Marvel message board? And how we wanted to grab pitch forks over Skrull-Vell? Good times, or whatever is the opposite of it.![]() | |||||||
