I like the 'Age of the Sentry' series (by Jeff Parker).

Also, 'Dark Avengers #13' and 'Siege' because Osborn implies that the Void might be the angel of death and because it is the conclusion of the Sentry's storyline.

IMO, BMB's theory is much better than Paul Jenkins' original idea that Sentry/Void could be "anyone of us" if we drinked a special serum.

In occultism, Abaddon/Apollyon/Abbaton, a destroying angel & an angel of death, is the angel of the Abyss and thus the sentry of the void.

I think that Robert Reynolds might be possessed by Abaddon/Apollyon/Abbaton or, even, be his avatar.

The character is too powerful to be anything else than a cosmic entity or an abstract concept (obviously, Destruction).
