Isaac Christians : The Gargoyle, former Defender and latterly servant of Daimon Hellstrom. Does anyone here like him? Where did he last appear to?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gargoyle_(comics)
last mentions him as appearing in Punisher War Journal vol. 2 #15 (2008).

Does anybody else besides me think J.M. DeMatteis was inspired by Jack Kirby's Demon when he created the Gargoyle? I've always thought there were similarities between them.

Which similarities do you mean aside from the physical appearance and the general demonic connection (Isaac Christians not being a demon himself, but a human who made a deal with demons)?

According to the wikipedia article quoted above, Don Perlin's design was inspired by a sequence from Prince Valiant (by Hal Foster) where Val disguised himself as a gargoyle/demon. And according to
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etrigan_the_Demon
that classic sequence was also Jack Kirby's inspiration for Etrigan's looks.
