"Bats" death was a very emotional scene! As was the news of your dog. Our old family dog, Pepper, sadly died next to me on the rug while we were watching Deal Or No Deal (in 2007 IIRC).
What was your dog's name? The death of a beloved family pet will definitely influence new negativity towards Loki - even if it turns out he was (predictably) playing Malekith all along in the War of the Realms campaign. #hatingloki!
The story was not bad either. The art and cover were alright, too. Does anyone else think the secret prize behind the door will be akin to all those family dramedies where the kid's hidden treasure is an old baseball card or glove?
Yeah, and the return of Sentry (ARGH) will be generating a lot of explosive feelings from Marveldom, no doubt. But no thanks to that Avengers run - he did return already so it is good that some writer is finally follwoing up on that. Hopefully it won't be too painful adjustment.
Zelma, Zelma, Zelma! WHAT are you doing?!
And to continue the anguishing tone, it was welcome mention of the "Tournement" to touch on the current status quo. However, the actual tale will surely end up being inevitably/belatedly/wastefully undramatic. Sigh. Hmmph, what was wrong with the succession process Marvel established when Doc Voodoo took over for awhile? Does any recall (several times?) how Sorcerer Supreme succession was presented previous to that?
I miss Dad & Dan AND PEPPER.
Strange became Sorcerer Supreme when he killed the Ancient One to stop Shuma-Gorath from using the old man's spiritual energy to ruin the universe.
I guess what was wrong with Voodoo's succession process was that it was a complete Agamotto fraud.
My opinion, there shouldn't be any sort of tournament or competition. That attracts the wrong type of person.
