I don't think villain choice was weak in Doctor Strange, and nothing Fox's villains could add would help. All of Strange's good villains are ALL his.

    Definitely true.

The Black Panther is a little different, though. Yes, he has three iconic foes: Klaw, Man-Ape, and Eric Killmonger, all of whom are indisputably his. But even so, his most perfect nemesis could easily become Doctor Doom. Wakanda versus Latveria just really seems like an exciting movie to me.

    Quote:
As for Galactus, he certainly seems like a good foe to face the entire assembled heroes of Earth. While Annihilus seems like a good foe to face the cosmic heroes.

    Quote:
Of course, that's where the FF discussion typically finishes. Doom, Galactus, and Annihilus. Nobody's pining for the Avengers to face, say, the Puppet Master, the Frightful Four, Super-Skrull, or Diablo.

    Quote:
Meanwhile, the Avengers have three iconic foes we haven't seen yet: Kang, Korvac, and the Masters of Evil. There's plenty of material right there for another trilogy, especially if all three are somehow woven into a single tapestry.

    Quote:
As for Captain Marvel - I don't really think of her as having iconic foes. Does she? But I continue to hold to the slim hope that Marvel Cinema may have the guts to set up Carol Danvers as the primary nemesis of Thanos, even as her predecessor in the comics once was. I mean, is she Captain Marvel or not? If she really is - if she's not just a poser - then Thanos should respect and fear her more than any other hero. That is the legacy of Mar-Vell.

Carol's two best villains Mystique and Deathbird became more associated with the X-Men than with her.

Carol doesn't deserve Thanos as an arch nemesis IMO. (have they met?)
