Whoa! We can't accuse them of going slow anymore. Things have blown up!

Last episode, Molly got stupid and scared from Alex's mom (witch scares me too). The Wilders powwow with the Yorkeses and the upshot is, Molly, you're out. They're shipping you off to some distant relatives to silence you.

I love how creepy the Wilders are in general. Like you really don't want them ringing your doorbell at the best of times.

And the Steins aren't going to be a perfect family. Sorry Janet. Victor got a message from Chase in the future that he shouldn't touch the Fistigons. He takes this warning as a threat, I guess. Worst Father Ever comes into his workroom to find Chase working on the Fistigons.

Who knew Chase would get hipster glasses and stubble in the future.

This episode sort of redeemed Janet Stein for me. I thought she had been the weakest of the parents so far but she won mother of the year for me when she killed Victor.

Victor says, "GTFO my stuff, you POS!" (paraphrasing)
    Chase gives him lip.
    Victor swings... misses!
    Chase counters.
Victor grabs the Fistigons and nearly kills Chase.
    BUT!!! Mom shoots dad dead!

The preview for next episode implies Jonah will save Victor. Which as much as I like the actor I thought killing the character off was a bold choice. I'm guessing Victor will somehow be worse after this resurrection. I'm hoping they swerve and Victor really does die.

Maybe the kids actually will run away before the end of this season.

I'm thinking that's how the season ends. If they still haven't run away by the second season premiere the show's moving too slow.

The first season absolutely needs to end with them running away...and that Alex twist.
