This may be slightly off topic but I never would have dreamed that a Thor movie would surpass a Justice League movie, Wonder Woman ,It movie, Logan and a Pirates of the Caribbean movie etc. Over the course of the last month I have gotten into too many arguments with DC fans on YouTube over Marvel vs Dc and have come to the conclusion that I truly sympothize for the fans. Warner Brothers,, Snyder, or whomever the powers at be are have tarnished a great franchise. Am I the only one who feels this way.?

I sympathize with the DC fans. Maybe DC will learn something from the Wonder Woman film (their most successful recent film domestically).

Recent box office stats:
DC Extended Universe Box Office

I'm looking forward to Wonder Woman 2, Aquaman, and Batgirl. I think all three of these will be good. Batgirl directed by Joss Whedon seems like a license to print money. Aquaman needs to aim squarely at the muscle-ogling female market while also satisfying the male market.

The big disappointment for me has been Superman. DC took inspiration from Batman which was precisely the wrong thing to do. The next Superman film should take its inspiration from the Superman comics, in particular remembering that Superman is not fundamentally a character who gets into brawls. The most iconic images of Superman are not big punches but rather big rescues. He's about saving people, not beating people up. His villains should attack him indirectly by endangering civilians. (If I did a Superman film, it would be structured like a disaster film, with Superman saving people left and right, but some people saving themselves, and eventually Superman figuring out how to neutralize the threat.)
